Interesting facts
As well as Acupuncture, Acupressure is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and it works following the idea that the body is made up by Qi (vital energy) that flows through 12 main channels; according to this theory, when one of these meridians is blocked or out of balance, illness can occur. Acupressure is among the types of TCM that are thought to help restore balance.

What to expect from a treatment:

1. Evaluation
I will start by evaluating your situation and selecting the acupressure points to use. This diagnosis happens through the palpation of the abdomen (and the meridian), the face reading as well as through an initial consultation.

2. Practice
Once the acupressure points are selected, I will treat them with a different type of pressure and techniques by using my hands, fingers or elbows.

3. Relaxation
If needed I will give you a few minutes right at the end of the massage to let you relax, enjoy and appreciate the treatment and its benefits more.

If you need me to explain what I’m doing or if you won’t feel comfortable with something, I will be there to help you to feel more cozy, safe and relaxed.
